BEGINNER PUNCH NEEDLE WORKSHOP- Learn to make a mat in a day!
Often described as 'instant gratification", punch needle rug hooking is a fun and addictive method of rug hooking!. In this step-by-step, detailed, workshop students will create a small 8" mat that can be used as a trivet, wall hanging, chair pad, bag, or pillow front. There is something for everyone with nearly 20 different patterns and a gorgeous array of hand dyed wool yarns to choose from! We'll cover topics such as design, colour planning, proper use of a punch needle, finishing, plus special tricks and techniques- the instructor will be there to encourage and guide you every step of the way. By the end of class most students should have a solid enough foundation in punching to be confident in making larger rugs and other fabulous projects. Material Fee: $55 including tax . Material fee includes the pattern, backing, print outs and all wool to complete the project. Punch needles may be borrowed during class time and purchased after if you wish.
